Champagne Etiquette

Champagne is best served in a flute or tulip glass after being cooled for at least two hours prior to serving. The bottle should be opened carefully with one hand on the body of the condensation free bottle while you twist the bottle and hold the cork firmly. The bottle in which the Champagne comes in should be relevant to the amount of people drinking it and if any is left over, the Champagne can be stored for a week in a fridge provided you use a Champagne bottle stopper.

For the best luxury Champagnes, choose a bottle marked “Grand Cru”. A Champagne producing village listed as “Grand Cru” means that the region has received a 100% rating from the Échelle des Crus.
