How did you begin your journey with hotels and what brought you to the St James's Hotel and Club?

I started my journey into hotels by covering  Maternity leave for a guest relations officer at the Cumberland Hotel, and here I am still in the hotel industry and that baby must now be at least 26!

5ive things a traveler to London must do

Depending on whether they are a first time visitor or not

i) Enjoy the view from Waterloo Bridge up and down the Thames - sunset optional

ii) Watch the changing of the guard

iii)       Go to see a West End Show, London really has the best theatre productions.

iv) Sample one of London's incredible Michelin starred restaurants

v) Appreciate the history and splendour of the city on a Sightseeing tour.

What are your favourite personal spots in London?

I love the area St James's as there is so much history in the area, from the Court of St James's, the proximity visitors get to the soldiers guarding the Palace, some of the shops in St James's Street have been in business for over 300 years. I love the secret passages like Crown passage which cuts through from King Street to Pall Mall and is home to numerous shops, bars and cafes.

Who would you say the St James's Hotel and Club is best suited to?

Someone who wants to feel recognised and valued as an individual, who enjoys Michelin cuisine in design inspired warm surroundings.

As a leading concierge of the city you must know whats happening in London in 2015? What are the major events you are recommending to guests?

London is an ever changing and evolving city, and I always prefer to tailor my recommendations to the individual.  There is no point me suggesting the Rugby World Cup when the individual is more interested in Opera and Ballet.
