This spring, The Dorchester Collection’s 5 star hotel The Dorchester launches a new event concept “Kitchen Parties” as well as a new look for its renowned Chef’s Table.

Luxury London Hotel, The Dorchester, is offering for the first time, a chance for the public to throw “back of house” Kitchen Parties that can accommodate up to 120 guests, with executive chef Henry Brosi’s office as a DJ booth. Dishes from famous restaurants at both The Dorchester and neighbouring Dorchester Collection Hotel 45 Park Lane will be offered to the guests to taste in one evening. Held in the kitchen pass, alongside the Chef’s Table, the option of dressing the space up with soft lighting, red carpets and speaker systems is available.

The new look for the Chef’s Table includes a superlative Baccarat crystal chandelier that will hang centrally, with new Baccarat glassware to reflect it on the table. The specially commissioned wall lighting will enhance the walnut wood panelling’s unique grain and a crystal glass wall can be changed from clear to frosted and vice versa with the flick of a switch.

The Chef’s Table, nestled deep in The Dorchester’s famous kitchens, offers front row seats for private parties, in a hidden enclave, to see some of London’s best chefs perform. A wide mirror was placed at the back of the kitchen, in the 1940’s when one of the largest original Chef’s Tables first opened, to ensure the guests had an uncompromised view of the kitchen. The room has capacity for 12 covers, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere, but not so large that it doesn’t remain exclusive, behind the scenes.

Executive chef Henry Brosi personally attends to the guests, talking through the different effects the foods have on the palate and wine-tasting. Brosi tell the guests all about the effects that smell has on taste and wine pairing. The guests can leave with a knowledge about food that they never had before.

Brosi commented: “Bringing together friends and families over a special experience of food and wine is the best way to toast an occasion you want to remember for the rest of your life”

The Chef’s Table is available for lunch at £120 per person and dinner at £150 per person plus £250 for room hire. Kitchen Parties are available from £22,500 for 50 guests with a maximum capacity of 120 guests.
