We had the opportunity to chat with our recommended travel photographer,
John Nassari who gave us an insight into his work, life in London and what he believes visitors should be doing during their time in London.
How did you start?
I fell in love with photography when my stepfather gave me his old Zeneth EM film camera for my 13th birthday present. He had this magical way of explaining how shutter speed and aperture worked and it was a language immediately understood.
5 words that describe your work?
Personal, intimate, natural, beautiful, evocative
Could you tell us a bit more about your exhibitions?
One of my pictures has been selected for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait prize, exhibiting until 9th February at the National Portrait Gallery. It is a candid image of a family in front of their house in East London.
Your favourite hang out spots?
Bishopsgate and Brick Lane at winter.
Your advice to a newcomer to London?
Make sure you find time to go to galleries
John Nassari is the perfect photographer for the special occasions of your life be it a wedding, a trip to London or an anniversary.
