Yule Log Masterclass with Fred & Andrew, Friday 6 December at 2pm & 5.30pm

In store bakers Fred & Andrew will be teaching customers how to make a chocolate Yule Log. Yule Logs are a fine English tradition, and the finest Yule Logs are made by our in-store bakers, who have agreed (under duress!) to show us how they do it. Demonstration Kitchen, First Floor.

Christmas Storytelling, 23rd November – 22nd December

A Very Special Person will read a specially-written Christmas story in our beautiful 5th Floor boardroom, for all good boys and girls from the age of three to eleven, and their very own responsible adult. There is plenty of opportunity to join in, and a jollygoody bag to take away to share with your friends. It is the perfect way for cherubs to get in the mood for Christmas.

Carols by Candlelight, 10th December at 7.30pm

Get ready for Christmas with the sights, the sounds, and the smells, of a traditional seasonal gathering, in our new Candle Room. Fortnum’s is delighted to welcome the choir of St Paul’s to its First Floor Candle Room. The St Paul’s Cathedral Choir has an immensely long history as well as a superb reputation; the earliest records of this choir date from 1127, when the Bishop of London founded the first choir school and made provision for 'almonry' boys to serve St Paul’s. Wren’s great cathedral was opened in 1697, following the Great Fire of 1666, providing a fitting home for the choir, which performs every day in this glorious setting. In recent years St Paul’s Choir has established itself as a major force in British church music, and frequently gives concerts and broadcasts and has many notable recordings to its credit. Fortnum & Mason is delighted that this exceptional choir will be filling our historic building with the sound of traditional Christmas carols
