Presenting the new luxury games table by Llewellyn

  • by arobis
Luxury games board designer to the discerning and sophisticated, Alexandra Llewellyn, announces the Louisa games table, the latest creation in the London designer’s beautifully artistic andunique gaming collection.

Two years after launching her luxury backgammon boards, owned by the likes of Sir Richard Branson and Elle Macpherson, Llewellyn is now widening her collection to explore a series of muchloved traditional games in the form of a standalone table.

With a simple yet elegant folding design, players can choose between cards, chess and Llewellyn’s trademark backgammon.

The ebonised ash and ripple sycamore surface is beautifully designed with a green fern and bambooleaf print, hand painted by Llewellyn herself and inspired by her love of the English countryside. Equally eye-catching are the playing pieces and gaming accoutrements, crafted from preciousstones and hand-selected woods including Indian malachite and mother of pearl playing pieces encased in polished brass, rosewood dice shakers and laurel burl doubling dice. Both decorative and functional, the Louisa table is ideal for any contemporary interior space, a socialpiece with artistic qualities.

For a personal touch, clients can commission a bespoke table so that each and every detail carries not just beauty but significance. Through close conversation with the client, Llewellyn can depict a lifewell lived, capture a momentous milestone or even celebrate fancies and idiosyncrasies. From the hand-selected woods and stones, to the embossed personal messages hidden within the folds of the table, bespoke creations are laced with narrative and provenance. The finished productis a practical yet stunning conversation piece that makes for the most intimate luxury gift.
