Master the Art of the Modern British Afternoon Tea at one of One Aldwych’s Afternoon Tea Masterclasses. Beginning on Saturday 26th October,the classes will run on Saturday 23rd November 2013, Saturday 25th January2014, Saturday 22nd February 2014 and Saturday 29th March 2014.

The day will start at 9.30am in the absolutely stunning Lobby Bar at One Aldwych, where you will meet Executive Chef Dominic Teague and get to know your fellow scone-lovers over a light breakfast. You will then head down to the kitchens for a two hour afternoon tea masterclass. In this fun, hands-on lesson, you'll learn how to make delicate vanilla and blackberry macaroons, spin playfully flavoured candy floss and perfect the skill of making chocolate éclairs among other tea time treats. Chef Dominic will also share histop baking tips with you along the way.

After your last item has been iced, it is tasting time. Sit back and relax in Axis restaurant and enjoy your freshly baked sweets as wellas a selection of dainty finger sandwiches and scones topped with lashings of clotted cream. So that you can impress your friends and family with your new skills, you'll be presented with recipe cards so that you can create the goodies at home.

There will be a maximum of eight bakers in each masterclass so make sure you book your spot soon at Axis at One Aldwych.
