Christies holds Picasso exhibition at 45 Park Lane

Furthering its commitment to supporting the arts and its dedication to offering its guests a rich and diverse art programme right on their doorstep, Dorchester Collection’s new contemporary Mayfair hotel, 45 Park Lane, has partnered with Christie’s auction house to showcase exclusive highlights from the upcoming Christie’s Picasso Ceramics online auction. Works of art by the iconic Spanish sculptor and painter will be on display in Bar 45 and the lobby lounge of the hotel for a limited time only, offering guests the chance to view the never before seen pieces up close and personal.

The ceramics and linocuts on display will include a rare early example of the complete 13-piece Service Visage Noir. Another set of this exquisite service, created in 1948, was given as a wedding gift to Rita Hayworth and Prince Aly Khan by the small town of Vallauris, their wedding venue on the French Riviera and also where Picasso developed his passion for ceramics.

The exhibition will be on display at 45 Park Lane from October 1st until October 20th.
