The 2012 Museums at Night annual celebrations will take place form Friday the 18th to Sunday the 20th of May; this is an annual after hour’s celebration whereby hundreds of museums, Libraries, Galleries and Heritage Sites open their doors for special evening events.

This years festival in London promises to be bigger than ever and will be a weekend to remember with an exciting line up of nocturnal activities in London’s museums and galleries. Packed with special events, from treasure trails to pyjama parties, wherever you go, there will be loads to enjoy.

Each venue will have a number of themed events scheduled to take place, such as guided tours, live music and a bar. A host of venues across London will be taking part in this year’s festival including the National Gallery and the London Transport Museum. People will have the opportunity to discover new exhibitions, see special presentations and engage in a range of fun activities.
