Papouelli Shoes for Children was founded in 2003 by Nicole Robinson and Maggie Snouck. They focus on beautiful shoes for children that are wearable for casual weekends as well as the smartest party.
Papouelli designs, manufactures and sells its own shoes, which are made and finished by hand in Portugal and Italy. Papouelli also sells a complimentary capsule collection of clothing and accessories.
Papouelli was set up from the start to be its own, unique brand. Every shoe is designed under the distinct Papouelli label. Working with beautiful leathers and fabrics in its signature muted palette, the style is evident. Papouelli creates shoes that are classically timeless but with a contemporary edge and which can be worn in a casual or more formal way depending on the occasion. The shoes are made with practicality in mind and all of them are tried and tested on the children of the business partners.
Fitting and foot health is very important. Papouelli takes great care to know the intricacies of the foot and how that will relate to the shoes and the design. Papouelli’s range covers everything from size 16 tiny baby shoes through the important first walking stage and on to the more contemporary teenagers' shoes.
Currently there are two Papouelli stores in London, one in Belgravia and the other one in Marylebone. Papouelli shoes are also available in Harrods.
