The impressive Piccadilly Theatre is located behind Piccadilly Circus and adjacent to the Regent Palace Hotel. The Theatre is situated on Denman Street in London's West End, hidden behind Piccadilly Circus.
The Piccadilly Theatre operated as a cinema before making history by premiering the first talking picture to be shown in Britain, The Singing Fool with Al Jolson. The theatre is currently owned and operated by the Ambassador Theatre Group, hosting productions such as; Guys & Dolls starring Nigel Harman, Jenna Russell and Nigel Lindsay and produced by Donmar Warehouse.
The Piccadilly Theatre has observed the growth in the popularity ballet, dance and musicals since the 1990’s, particularly Adventures in Motion Picture’s Swan Lake, which was the most successful commercial ballet season ever to play in the West End. Recently staged productions include; Guys and Dolls, Grease and is currently hosting Ghost by Bruce Joel Rubin, Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard.
