The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital (RNTNEH) is located on the Gray's Inn Road, London. It is operated by the Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust and it is recognised internationally as a centre of excellence, unique in the breadth of knowledge and specialities.
The hospital specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose and throat disorders. With over 130 years of history as a specialist hospital and UK's largest ear, nose and throat hospital, it is also the UK and Europe's centre for audiological medicine and research. The hospital deals with all aspects of ENT from minor procedures such as putting in grommets to major complex head and neck surgery. The ENT out-patient department provides both routine and specialist clinics including some nurse-led clinics. Departments within the hospital include an allergy clinic, rhinology and audiology/otology, and treat a range of disorders including cancers, hearing and speech disorders, snoring and related sleep disorders, Last year, the hospital treated more than 60,000 patients, 25% of which were patients referred from all over the UK and abroad - some from as far as Australia.
