Phoenix Theatre

The Phoenix Theatre is located on Charing Cross road in the London Borough of Camden.

This magnificent London Theatre was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, Bertie Crewe and Cecil Massey. This Grade II* listed West End Theatre opened its doors of the 24th of September 1930 with the premiere of Private Lives by Noel Coward. The Phoenix Theatre had a long association with Noel Coward, with the foyer bar being renamed the Noel Coward Bar in honour of his 70th Birthday.

The Phoenix Theatre has seen the run of a number of successful plays and  musical productions over the years, which include The Biograph Girl with Sheila White, The Baker's Wife by Stephen Schwartz, and Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim. There were also a number of successful productions of William Shakespeare’s play at the theatre.

London’s Phoneix Theatre has a seating capacity off 1,012 seats over three levels: Stalls, Dress Circle and Upper Circle. The Stalls closest the stage and are located on the ground floor of the theatre. The Dress Circle seats are located above the Stalls and offer magnificent views of the stage. The Upper Circle is the highest seating area in this West End Theatre.Today London’s Phoenix Theatre is currently owned by Ambassador Theatre Group with Blue Brothers a 1982 musical by Willy Russell has being running in the theatre since 1991 and is now currently the longest running production at the theatre.
