In pursuit of elegance, refinement and sophistication, RENA LANGE is committed to creating ready-to-wear with the highest of quality standards. Exclusive research and development with the world’s finest yarn and fabric mills is combined with signature trims, refined detailing and precision tailoring to present the customers with clothing collections that represent prêt-a-porter at a couture level.
In 1916 Martha Lange opened a shop for fine lingerie in Munich. Later this year, Henriette Günthert took over the business. In 1953, Peter Günthert, the nephew of Henriette Günthert, began running the company and reopened the shop at “Palais Moy” on Brienner Strasse in Munich. He expanded the lingerie collection and premiered with ball gowns and couture suits.
In 1982, Peter Günthert and his wife, chief designer Renate Günthert, presented their first prêt-à-porter collection in Milano. RENA LANGE entered its third generation when Daniel Günthert took over the company from his parents, Peter and Renate Günthert, in 2001 and currently presides as CEO of the company. Daniel Günthert is supported by a highly professional and motivated team, offering and preserving the company’s know-how, especially in workmanship, which is a great and exclusive strength in today’s fashion world.
