ExCel is another of London’s existing top class conference and event centres. During the 2012 Olympic Games this exciting venue hosted 7 Olympic and 6 Paralympic events which equates to 154 medals. Some of the Olympic events that took place included fencing, table tennis, boxing and wrestling. The Paralympic events that were held there include wheelchair fencing, paralifting, table tennis and judo.

Once the Games were over, ExCeL continued to operate in its present format as a major event and conference centre, as well as being home to London’s International Convention Centre (ICC), the first in the city.
The ExCeL venue is in an ideal waterfront location at The Royal Victoria Dock in East London. This fantastic venue was primed and ready to host its events prior to the Olympics.
The 100 acre ExCeL campus, included 3 onsite DLR stations, numerous restaurants and bars and easy access to the Jubilee Line and London City Airport. There was also car parking available for up to 3,700 cars.

The ExCeL Venue fitted in well with London 2012’s aim of being the first ‘sustainable’ Olympic Games. This sustainability initiative focused on healthy living, combating climate change, waste reduction and promoting inclusion.
