Falconry is an exclusive sport, considered to be the oldest and most aristocratic sports. To be fully able to appreciate it, one needs to experience it first-hand. Our experience of the falconry introductory class at Gleneagles was mind-blowing. The instructors have a vast array of experiences with beginners so there is no reason to be nervous. Above all, the hawks are well trained and extremely amicable with the guests. We not only had the opportunity to meet the little friends at the Falconry School but also had the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with holding and flying a hawk.

 Being the Ryder Cup 2014 Venue we cannot forget the vast golf grounds at Gleneagles. The breathtaking grounds are a great place for a golf break. The three championship golf courses at Gleneagles are considered to be amongst the best worldwide. For those who aren’t yet ready to take the full courses the nine hole Pitch & Putt is perfect for beginners and all levels. 

In addition to all the above activities, Gleneagles also offers exciting fishing and equestrian activities. 

How to get there: Gleneagles has it's very own train station which is approx. 5.5 hours from London. The hotel is an hour's drive away from Edinburgh airport. The helipad is 3 minutes from the front door of the hotel. Gleneagles has a fleet of 11 chauffeur driven cars that will collect guests from the station complimentary!
