British Lifestyle is widely sought after globally and British crafts and craftsmanship are an important part of shopping and designing your home in London. For those who are looking for something special in London, 5ive Star London has spent some time looking for those hidden gems that showcase the best of British design and interiors. These brands are inspirational and refreshing!

Rene Dekker's experience spans 25 years and he is able to transform dreams in to realities. Rene has worked on some very renowned and exclusive projects especially based in the heart of London. His work is understated, luxurious and he ensures that he spends time with clients to understand their vision. After all, a home is a place where one spends most time and it should reflect the aspirations of those who reside there.

Baker and Gray are a British brand specialising in interiors and fabrics in the heart of Notting Hill. Their boutique is a shop window and real life setting of what Baker and Gray are able to work on. Their fabrics are hand designed and intricate, something we rarely see these days.

Charles Edwards have over 400 designs of lighting which are inspired by 19th and 20th century English, French and American fixtures and what we love the most about Charles Edwards is their preservation of British heritage in lighting. Each fixture is matched to the standard and style of homes they've worked on making it especially bespoke and made for their clients. We love passing their boutiques in Chelsea in the evenings, everything is lit up and it is truly magical.

Tea is a special activity in British life and definitely in countries like India, Russia and China. British Fine Bone China is world renowned but it is easy to be mislead as not everything is necessarily designed in the UK. William Edwards is a truly special brand, their china is made and crafted in the UK and above all their designs are exquisite. We've not only visited their factory in Stoke on Trent but we've also experienced using their china in some of the most exclusive hotels in London. One word can sum it up; precious

Alexandra Llewellyn's work has revived gaming at home in theUK. She designs handmade backgammon boards and creates bespoke designs specifically for her clients. Her work is stunning, unique and eye catching. Not only are her boards wonderful decoration pieces but also tell a story.

Finally as Chelsea Flower Show fast approaches it leaves us all dreaming about our dream gardens and designs. Jo Thompson's work left us breathless. She has installed a wood fired oven in a garden, an outdoor luxurious barbecue and just designs timeless gardens! Her work is awe inspiring
