Laurent Perrier's Cuvee Alexandra Rose

Laurent Perrier’s Cuvée Alexandra 1998 is an absolutely spectacular champagne, salmon-pink in colour with a glint of orange accompanied with a complex, powerful nose, comprises aromas of strawberry jam, before continuing with more floral notes of rosepetals.

The champagne has a lively, candid taste dominated by berry fruits. This is a fleshy wine, with a velvety finish reminiscent of dried apricots and orange peel. Masses of delicacy and length; the wine, with its fine bead, very charmingly expresses top notes of small berry fruit and flowers. Gentle but impressive length.

This champagne is no doubt made for food, Alexandra Rosé Laurent-Perrier 98 should be reserved for the finest, most delicate and intricate of dishes, such as duck with figs or roast Breton lobster. Its inherent vigour means it can also be paired with powerful, highly-spiced dishes for example game with blueberries.

It will also pair perfectly with a characterful cheese such as a Langres accompanied by honeyed gingerbread.

It is preferable to serve Laurent Perrier Cuvée Alexandra Rosé in tulip glasses rather than flutes,to pay tribute to the unique character of this great cuvée and fully benefit from the extraordinary sensory experience it offers. The recommended serving temperature for this wine is 10-12°C.
