Great London Swim 2013

The 2013 Great London Swim will take place on Saturday 31st August in the Royal Victoria Dock. The 1 mile long race is now in its 4th year and allows any standard of swimmer to partake in this fun day out.

20,000 people took part in the swim last year staged in River Thames, one of the cleanest urban river worldwide, and numbers are expected to be much the same for 2013.

There are also a number of different live musical acts, food and other stalls to accompany this London event, perfect for something to do during your stay in London.

Also part of the day is charity events for businesses to compete in with 4-8 people in each team.The winning businesses in each charity get to donate the winnings to a charity of their choice and receive a trophy for their endeavours too.

Swimmers only require a wetsuit and a cap and the price to take part is £39 per person with entry available online at their official website (http://www.greatswim.org/Events/great-london-swim).
