The Windsor Castle Coronation Regatta takes place from Saturday 15th – Sunday 16th June 2013. It’s been 60 years since Queen Elizabeth II had her coronation and what better way to celebrate than to watch the Windsor Castle Coronation Regatta. Taking place on the Thames, this special event sees 180 crews compete in an impressive river race.

This event will see a multitude of rowing teams take part in a series of events categorised according to age, gender and ability. This enables even novices to get in on the action at the Windsor Castle Coronation Regatta and there will be plenty of prizes given to the winning crews.

All races will be a 1000m distance on the river from the Price Albert Bridge to the Queen Victoria Bridge and the first day of racing is dedicated adult rowers, while the second is focused on more of the junior races. The regatta is the first time a rowing regatta has taken place in 44 years, so you can be sure that the race will draw the crowds.

Spectators are offered the very rare chance to enter the private grounds of Windsor Castle, as well as enjoy the on-site refreshments. The Windsor Castle Coronation Regatta is truly a once in a lifetime event, make sure not to miss out.
