The Flamenco Festival London is taking place from Friday 15th March - Wednesday 27th March 2013 at Sadlers Wells. Experience the world’s most passionate form of dance as it comes to the capital for the 9th annual Flamenco Festival London. The famous Spanish and gypsy style dancing will be explored over the course of two weeks of shows that demonstrate the rich history of flamenco, from its traditional roots to more contemporary interpretations.

You can expect to see shows featuring artists from across Spain and all over the world in performances featuring music, singing, dancing and more than enough drama and passion. You will see traditional dances as well as choreography done especially for the festival, all guaranteed to excite and entice all your senses.

The last festival saw the 75th year of Frederico Garcia Lorca's death, and the 2012 Flamenco Festival London hosted a special gala to celebrate the life and work of the iconic Spanish dramatist and poet. 2013 marks the 10th anniversary of the festival and in honour of this, the event is featuring eight productions in the main house and another two in the Lilian Baylos Studio.

This year there will be a performance by the Multi-award winning Eva Yerbabuena, who is one of the most accomplished flamenco dancers in the world. The gypsy Flamenco dancer, Farruquito, is also making a welcome return to London to present his powerful show, Abolengo, which promises to be the perfect way to experience flamenco for the first time and a real treat for established lovers of this dance genre. More flamenco talent comes to the fore at Sadlers Wells with the fast footwork of Israel Galván, who fuses traditional flamenco with contemporary dance. Celebrated flamenco guitar musician, Tomatito, will also be performing at the Flamenco Festival in a show that demonstrates his ability to fuse traditional flamenco with jazz.

Make sure you don’t miss out on what promises to be spectacular event and unforgettable experience.
