The 2013 International Food and Drink Exhibition will take place from 17th-20th March this year at ExCeL Exhibition centre, Royal Victoria Dock, in the heart of London Docklands. Over 28,000 visitors and 1,100 exhibitors from 83 countries attended the last event in 2011 and mainly operate in the retail trade industry.
The event showcases the food and drinks industry in the UK and provides ideas and free seminars that relate to these sectors. The event is split into 9 different sections; Speciality & Regional Food from Britain, Cheese & Dairy, Meat & Seafood, Walk the World, Bakery & Confectionery, Ingredients, Health & Wellbeing, Drinks, and General Food.
Sponsors include some of the industry’s big international players which has allowed for a successful return for the popular event.
Awards are also handed out to the outstanding exhibits that feature during the event which shows the importance of innovation to this industry.
Visitor registration is free and there are a number of visitor attractions, other than the exhibits themselves, where tips are given on exporting, product ideas and the future of the industry. Advice on how to grow your business is also provided. The event is highlighted by a gala dinner on Monday 18th March with David Heath, minister of state for Agriculture and Food.
The ExCeL centre is easily accessible via rail, tube, cycling, road and even the Emirates cable car.
