Russian Week Welcoming Spring in London

The Russia Week, Maslenitsa Festival in London starts off on the 11th of March running all the way through to Sunday, 17th March 2013. Packed with events inspired by Russian Culture and Cuisine, this is a great opportunity for those who have never been to Russia to experience the country and its breathtaking culture miles away in the heart of London.

Monday will start off with an exhibition of Russian photography at The City Hall in London showcasing works by Richard Pare and Dmitri Konradt exploring views of Russian architectural landscapes!

On Tuesday, 12th March Mari Vanna, a gorgeous restaurant in Knightsbridge, will be offering a special pancake menu for the foodies out there to experience a delightful range of Russian culinary delicacies. 

On Wednesday 13th March, we will all have the opportunity to join a Russian Literary Evening at Waterstones Piccadilly filled with inspiration and an insight in to famous Russian literature. 

Thursday 15th March is dedicated to Russian Arts Masterclasses at the Russian Culture Centre. 

A Talk and Tour of Treasures of Royal Courts will be taking place on Friday 15th March at the V&A Museum

The Maslenitsa Festival will take place at Trafalgar Square on Saturday. Filled with pancakes, music, art and live performances this day will bring us closer to Russian culture and is a great day for welcoming Spring to London and Russia!

Russian Week in London will bid farewell to us with Sunday dedicated to Theatre Praktika at The Arts Theatre. The theatre is widely know for transmitting social issues and address topics that are important in this day and age.
