Calleija jewellers specialise in spectacular diamonds, particularly Pink Diamonds that are hard to find elsewhere. These stunning rarities are becoming even more precious and valuable, as the Australian Argyle diamond mine heads steadily towards being exhausted in 2018. These rare jewels are brought to life at Calleija by the craftsmanship of award-winning Founder and Designer, Mr John Calleija. We had the pleasure of speaking with John about his festive celebrations with the Calleija team and his family.

Christmas is a very important time for John and his family -time to enjoy the summer months yet continue overseeing the busiest time for his three designer boutiques. In the lead-up to Christmas he visits his team in London for an end-of-year celebration and takes time to stock up on delicious British treats for his friends and family. He especially adores the Christmas crackers from Fortnum and Mason.

As that special day draws closer, John visits his Marina Mirage boutique to enjoy a glass of bubbly with the team on Christmas Eve, and celebrate the busy year gone, as well as the exciting year ahead, particularly the festive season. Christmas Day is a family day, at home with his wife and their very excited 8 year old daughter, who loves spending the entire morning opening presents. After a traditional Christmas lunch, John takes the family for a drive in his newly restored 1965 Aston Martin DB5 - so all his favourite things together!

Exciting news from Calleija Headquarters is their 30th anniversary in 2014, with many exciting Pink and White Diamond pieces currentlybeing created to mark this special occasion.
