UK Chocolate Week is one of the highlights of the chocolate industry year, and it’s a great chance to join in some fun events and an excuse to celebrate and eat chocolate. At Rococo, they have plenty of for you to quench your cravings and they would love for you to join in on many events.

To begin the week on the Monday, Rococo have oraganised a Chocolate Dinner at Hardy’s. This year the dishes are influenced by Chantal’s book, Mastering the Art of Chocolate and include duck confit with Chantal’s favourite citrus-braised fennel with a white chocolate sauce, and an Earl Grey tea ganache dessert. The price includes a pear bellini, and Chantal hosts a complimentary tasting of our award-winning chocolates after dinner.

On Tuesday there will be a 30 Years of Rococo History talk with Founder Chantal Coady. Taking place at the King’s Road shop where Chantal started her chocolate empire 30 years ago, you’ll enjoy a chocolate tasting and a glass of bubbly while Chantal shares Rococo’s journey in an intimate setting.

The Wednesday hosts a Chocolate & Beer Pairing after the opening of the new shop’s chocolate and beer pairing was so popular. Craft beers have been specially chosen for the event and matched their flavour profiles to our chocolates, creating combinations that surprise and delight.

Surprising Flavour Combinations with Chocolate in the Chester shop will take place on Thursday. Here you can celebrate chocolate week with a tasting of unusual chocolate canapés accompanied by a glass of prosecco. Combinations won’t be revealed until the night but might include chocolate paired with bacon, cheese or olives; all we know is that it will be delicious.

On Friday 18th October there will be a Tapas Evening at the Motcomb Café. For one evening only the Motcomb Street café in Knightsbridge will be converted in to a tapas bar. The evening includes a couple of drinks and savoury tapas with chocolate notes like Spanish ham with balsamic chocolate drizzle, followed by our award-winning couture ganaches.

There will be a Children’s Story Time & Chocolate Painting with Steve Smallman on the Saturday. Steve Smallman, illustrator and author of over 40 children’s book, will be reading from his books, but will also be creating a chocolate mural for the kids to paint on with more chocolate!

And finally from Friday 18th - Sunday 20th, Salon du Chocolat will be taking place. Salon du Chocolat is an international chocolate fair that takes place in cities including Paris, Tokyo and New York. It’s the first time London has hosted the fair and many of the UK’s most exciting chocolate companies will be there with stalls or taking part in workshops, demonstrations and the chocolate fashion show. Rococo love meeting our customers at fairs, so please do come to say hello and sample something if you go!
