At long last, the View from the Shard opens on Friday 1st February 2013. This eagerly anticipated attraction is the tallest building in Western Europe, promising stunning views of the beautiful capital city.
The Shard, having been designed by master architect, Renzo Piano, will most certainly be an iconic symbol of London. Once it has opened, visitors can hope to find exciting activities on almost every floor.
The View from the Shard spans floors 68, 69 and 72, the latter being the highest public level of the building and you will be able to reach these heights in only 30 seconds using the unique high speed kaleidoscopic lifts.
The view gives you the opportunity to see a stunning 360 degree view of the city from an impressive 800ft up and experience a beautiful panorama stretching 40 miles. You can stay up there as long as you like and enjoy the breathtaking experience free of noisy crowds and long queues.
There will also be multimedia displays and digital telescopes so visitors can get a closer view of the city and also see an illustrated tapestry of London’s past present and event future. There will be a range of high tech touch screen devices, enabling users to interact with the stunning view in greater detail.
The View is also open late, enabling you to see a romantic night time view of the city if you wish and if you would like to continue your romantic evening why not dine in one of 5ive Star London’s exquisite Restaurants, you won’t regret it!
