Do you enjoy a love affair with caffeine???? Then London’s Coffee festival is the place for you. The 2012 London Coffee Festival takes place from the 27th to the 29th of April. This is the second year of the coffee festival and organisers promise that the festival will be bigger and better that ever. As part of UK Coffee week, this festival celebrates London’s coffee culture with artisanal coffee and specialist tea, barista demonstrations, gourmet food stalls and live music
The London Coffee Festival is spread across London with the main events taking place at the iconic Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. Visitors will be immersed in the world of coffee making, enjoy tastings and demonstrations and enjoy live entertainment throughout the themed zones- Hyde Park Shoreditch, Soho, The Lab, The Showroom and The Growing Community. The London festival is the flagship event of UK Coffee Week which takes place across the country between the 23rd and 29th of April, featuring many events in aid of Project Waterfall a charity which delivers clean water projects in Tanzania. 50% of ticket sales will be donated to Project Waterfall.
The UK Barista Championships 2012 will also take place over the three day festival. Espresso Martini Launch Party will kick of this year’s London’s Coffee Festival celebrations on the 27th of April at 5pm. The London Coffee festival is also an opportunity for coffee-industry professionals including baristas and coffee-shop owners to network and meet other professionals in the industry. 12,000 visitors are expected to attend this year’s event, which is open to the public.
Live entertainment will take place in the Hyde Park zone of the London festival with John Adeleye headlining the festival; other amazing acts will include Richard James, Sherry Davis and a wide range of other up and coming performers.
