The Elves and the Shoemaker

The Elves and the Shoemaker at Jacksons Lane takes place from Saturday 8th December until Thursday 3rd January 2012. Why not join The Elves and enjoy a thoroughly modern retelling of the classic children’s story, with Stuff and Nonsense’s fusion of undeviating energy and hilarious comedy.

Both children and adults alike are sure to love Stuff and Nonsense, as the two mischievous puppets return after the huge success of last year’s show, The Enormous Turnip. You can expect similar fun and frolics as the two retell the much loved children’s story about a shoemaker but with a modern twist.

The story centers on Sam Lacey, a poor man who unsuccessfully sells his shoes on the internet, but when his angry customers demand refunds for his poorly made shoes his life hits a terrible low. However, when a pair of mysterious characters appear his world is turned utterly upside down.

Leading up to the Christmas period, this is the perfect event for those parents looking to take their kids to an event slightly different from the average pantomime. Far from conventional, this puppet show extravaganza is bound to please all and shouldn’t be missed purely on its comedic factor alone. Make sure to attend!
