The Mary Anne Sloane Exhibition has been running in the William Morris Society since Monday 26th November 2012 and will run until Friday 15th March 2013. You will be able to see a rare collection of works from this wonderfully influential artist.

As some of her work is currently on show at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Sloane is getting every bit of the attention she deserves for her beautifully intricate and thoughtful works of art.

At this exhibition the curators have produced a very rare selection of the artist’s finest etchings, drawings and watercolours for the public to marvel at.

Mary Sloane undertook an exceptional education at the Royal College of Art, which no doubt laid the foundations for her groundbreaking career in the creative world. She was supported by famous artists including Phillip Webb and even William Morris himself, showing how her work defied the gender roles given to women at the time.

The William Morris Society is a museum dedicated to everything related to the great man himself, including his art work and friends. Mary Sloane often visited his country home and they enjoyed a great relationship within the artistic circles of the time, making her work a great fit for a museum of this calibre.

If you plan on spending the night in the capital city why not dine in one of London’s exquisite Restaurants or stay in of 5ive Star London’s luxury Hotels.
