Santas Run at Greenwich Park takes place on Sunday 9th December 2012. If you want to keep fit this Christmas then why not take part this season and embrace the festive spirit by raising money for the Alive and Kicking charity for children in Africa.

The run caters for all abilities, and entrants can complete either the 5km or 10km run and they can do it in any way that they like. So if you would prefer to walk, jog or run you can feel the satisfaction in completing this challenge and maintain a trim physique, despite the Christmas snacks.

The charity Alive and Kicking aims to bring sport to Africa, they make top quality footballs, netballs, handballs and rugby balls and are the only manufacturer of sport balls in Africa. Through this business, they create jobs for African families and even educate young people about HIV and AIDs. Every penny raised from the Santas Run at Greenwich Park will go towards children’s projects in Africa and truly help improve their quality of life.

Every participant of the run will be given a free Santa Claus outfit to wear as well as collection buckets and leaflets to give out along the journey. The charity is encouraging entrants to raise at least £80.00 which could pay for six locally produced sports balls.

So why not don the red and white fluffy coat and matching trousers and go for a run this winter season.
