Returning to Alexandra Palace for fifteen days of fierce competition, The Ladbrokes World Darts Championships starts on Friday 14th December 2012 – Tuesday 1st January 2013. This event sees combatants battling it out for the one million pound cash prize, where the tension and excitement will have you on the edge of your seat.

The game darts has long been considered a pub game, becoming a huge spectator sport in the 70’s and 80’s. There is currently no single world organisation for darts, however the Ladbrokes World Darts Championships is run by the Professional Darts Corporation which formed in 1992. This tournament has developed an ever increasing fan base since it began in the 1993-94 Christmas period.

This year, Ladbrokes World Darts Championships will see 72 players from over 20 countries competing for the title of Champion, so keep your eye out for some darts stars in the making.

The Ladbrokes World Darts Championships has been won by Adrian "Jackpot" Lewis for the last two years running, and those lucky enough to get hold of tickets will be able to see if he can hold this wonderful title for yet another year.
