This year The December Dip at Parliament Hill Lido takes place on Saturday 1st December 2012. Join hundreds of enthusiastic outdoor swimmers as they take the plunge and do the December Dip. This is not all you can look forward to however; afterward you can warm up with festive drinks and a session in the hot tub. The event is organised by the Outdoor Swimming Society, who promote wild and open water swimming.

The swim takes place at the beautiful art deco outdoor swimming pool on Hampstead Heath and regardless of whether you're a veteran wild swimmer or a newcomer to the bracing beauty of outdoor swimming, the December Dip at Parliament Hill Lido welcomes one and all for a festive event that's bound to help you wake up.

Around 400 swimmers are expected to take part in the event which starts with inspirational speakers, hot food and a festive tipple or two. After mustering courage, it's time for all the participants to swim a couple of widths of the pool in an event that' sure to get the blood pumping and the skin tingling.
