The Barrel Tree at Covent Garden

The Barrel Tree at Covent Garden is open to the public from Tuesday 27th November 2012 and will be up throughout the Christmas season. This is, most certainly, a Christmas tree with a difference as Jack Daniels creates its first ever barrel tree. This 26ft festive monolith will stand proudly in the capital until the first week of January 2013.

The barrel tree at Covent Garden is a festive gift to the UK from America, honouring the relationship between the two nations.

This spectacular tree will be built from 140 white oak barrels, whose previous use was to mature Tennessee whisky. The structure will be covered in Christmas lights and adorned with a festive star. The lights will be switched on by the face of Jack Daniels, Randy ‘Goose’ Baxter, an employee of the distillery who has featured heavily in their advertising campaigns.

This magnificent nine-tier barrel tree at Covent Garden will take 11 people two days to build and is definitely worth looking out for whilst you browse the plethora of shops filled with presents for friends and family.

Fans of the alcoholic beverage will be glad to hear they will have the opportunity to purchase bottles of the limited edition Jack Daniels Holiday Select 2012 at the tree. Make sure that you see this impressive Barrel Tree!
