This year the exciting Unexpected Pleasures Exhibition runs from 5 December 2012 to 3 March 2013 at The Design Museum.

The exhibition celebrates the work of contemporary jewellers that have challenged the conventions of traditional jewellery design.

Exhibiting work from all across the globe, this spectacular exhibition explores how the contemporary jewellery movement, which began in the late 1970s, saw a radical change in jewellery design and its social context.

The exhibition is curated by jewellery designer and maker Dr.Susan Cohn, and features more than 130 jewellers, including the avant-garde designs of Alexander Calder, Gijs Bakker's conceptual adornments and Dorothea Pruhl's delicate abstract pieces.

If you are interested in having a superb day out why not dine in one of 5ive Star London’s exquisite Restaurants after a trip to this spectacular exhibition.
