This November, The Royal Ballet rolls out its famous 'Swan Lake', in Anthony Dowell's production which incorporates choreography by the great Frederick Ashton and David Bintley to complement the Marius Petipa/Lev Ivanov original.
Swan Lake is everything you could want from a traditional night at the ballet presenting lavish costumes, delicate swans, fantastic Tchaikovsky score, fairy-tale prince etc. The sublime Marianela Nuñez and her real-life husband Thiago Soares perform the leading roles on opening night. The ballet tells the fantastic tale of love and transformation, in which a prince falls in love with a cursed girl who is a swan by day, but alas resumes her true form at night. The ballet has truly captured the imagination of many generations over the years and still continues to charm audiences worldwide, full of mystery and romance.

People from all over London can take a trip into a magical world of music, theatre and dance this summer with Swan Lake performances at one of the world's finest landmarks, the Royal Opera House, performances run from Monday 8th October – Saturday 24th November 2012.
