Trafalgar Studios is located in Whitehall, near Trafalgar Square, in the City of Westminster, London. This Theatre was formally known as the Whitehall theatre and first opened its doors in 1930. In 2004 the Whitehall Theatre was renamed the Trafalgar Studios. Today this West End Theatre now houses two performances spaces Trafalgar Studios 1 and Trafalgar Studio 2.

During World War II this West End Theatre, housed revues, this became commonplace entertainment throughout the West End. Pyjama Tops a nude revue took over the venue in 1969 and remained in this West End Theatre for five years, after which the building was shuttered. Considerable refurbishment retained most of its Art Deco features, and the Trafalgar Studios was reopened on the 5th of March, 1986 with a successful revival of J. B. Priestley's When We Are Married

Between the years 1997 and 1999, this London theatre was used to record a number of radio and television shows with one of the main shows being Channel 5’s Jack Docherty TV chat show. The West End Theatre then returned to theatrical use until the Ambassador Theatre Group announced the building would be reconfigured and re open under the new name Trafalgar Studios.
Trafalgar Studios is a Grade II listed building. Studio 1 in the Trafalgar Studios has a seating capacity for 380 patrons with studio 2 being a much smaller theatre with a seating capacity for 100 patrons. Today Trafalgar Studios is London’s most exciting new Theatre venue, with two intimate, flexible and dynamic performance spaces - Studio 1 and Studio 2.
