London Business School is an international school of business and a member institution of the federal University of London, situated in central London, close to Regent's Park. London Business School teaches postgraduate programmes in finance and management, as well as their renowned Master of Business Administration (MBA and EMBA) programme, it  offers the Sloan Fellowship Program for executives who already have experience in a business discipline, a Masters in Finance (known by many as an MiF, a programme that specializes in finance), a Masters in Management for  students with less than a year's work experience, a PhD, as well as non-masters post graduate programmes for those experienced in business management.

LBS was founded in 1964, after a 1957 report issued by a British committee of inquiry chaired by Sir Oliver Franks recommended the creation of two schools of business, integrated into existing institutions (London Business School and Manchester Business School), but with control over its own affairs. The college collaborates with nearby institutions University College London and the Modern Language Centre at King's College London. Towards the end of 2006, London Business School expanded its executive programmes in Dubai, namely, MBA degree and the Executive Education programmes. In Global MBA Rankings 2012, London Business School came first in Europe and 4th in the world.

An estimated one thousand students from all over the world graduate from London Business School degree programmes. Each year another three thousand executives attend the Schools executive education programmes. Registered school alumni are located in 120 countries, organised through many alumni clubs.
