The world famous Earls Court exhibition and event venue hosted the Volleyball competition for the London 2012 Games. Located in west London, close to the Victoria and Albert, Science and Natural History Museums Earls Court holds hundreds of events each year attended by visitors from all over the world.

In operation for over 75 years, it first opened its doors to exhibitions in 1937, at the time providing an unprecedented 40,000 square metres of show space. The first show was actually a Chocolate and Confectionery exhibition.
The venue is still one of the most popular arenas for large live music concerts in the UK, as it has an under roof capacity of around 19,000 people. Over the years it has had shows from Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, U2, Oasis and countless others.

The Volleyball competition of the Olympics was held in Earls Court from the 28th July 2012. 288 athletes took part. After the Games the venue continued as one the finest exhibition and event spaces in the City of London.
