RFL Challenge Cup Final 2013

The 2013 RFL Challenge Cup Final sponsored by Tetley's will take place on Saturday 24th August 2013 at London’s Wembley Stadium at approximately 3pm. Hull FC will take on Wigan Warriors for the bragging rights on this famous trophy for the next year. Last year saw Warrington Wolves defeat Leeds Rhinos for their 3rd win in just 4 years in front of an 80,000 strong crowd and attendance figures are expected to remain much the same for the competition this year.

Wigan are the most crowned champions overall in this tournament with 18 wins going back to the competitions history which began in 1897. This included 8 wins in a row from 1988 to 1995. The finale of this 8 month long tournament traditionally has taken place at Wembley Stadium around the bank holiday weekend in Britain and will do so again this year.

Both sides look set to field a near fully fit squad where names such as Yeaman for Hull and O'Loughlin for Wigan stand out.

Also happening on this weekend at Trafalgar Square is a Rugby League World Cup show on the Friday which takes place from 10am to 4pm.
