The London Film Festival is one of the world's biggest film extravaganzas, and will arrive in London on October 9th, bringing the most popular films from some of Summer’s international film festivals and a large handful of swanky gala premieres.
BFI London Film Festival will screen 234 fiction and documentary features, including 22 world premieres and 29 European premieres. The festival opens on 9 October with the European premiere of Captain Phillips, the new film from director Paul Greengrass starring Tom Hanks.
The festivals screenings are at venues across the capital, from West End cinemas, such as Odeon Leicester Square, to local cinemas, such as Ritzy Brixton and Hackney Picturehouse.
