Dote London is a new luxury sleepwear brand founded by London based Sheena Abbot Davies. 

We had the opportunity to meet with Sheena and learn about her brand and London life.  

What inspired you to start Dote London?

I was inspired by my beautiful and glamorous aunt who used to wear beautiful nightwear, and always looked perfect. When I looked for lovely nightwear to buy for myself I found I didn't really like what I saw and had the feeling that I could create something better! And so Dote was born.

How would you describe Dote in 5 words?

Elegant, comfortable, luxurious, versatile, contemporary

What is your favourite spot in London? 

Golborne road, W10.

Your advice to a new client to Dote? What should they expect?

They should embrace the idea that a sleep wardrobe will be an added joy in their lives -having perfectly suitable sleep attire for every occasion is a wonderful bonus in life -  they will be prepared for every eventuality, and will always look wonderful. They will love the fact that the fabrics are natural, soft and comfortable and should last a long time, and they will not want to go back to scruffing around at home in items that they would be ashamed to be seen out in.

What would your ideal day in London comprise of?

I would start with breakfast at the Wolseley - followed by a browse around Dover Street market. Then I'd meet a friend for lunch at Pizza East on the Golborne road and afterwards we would have a stroll to all my favourite antique shops in the area. After that I would watch an old movie at either the Electric on Portobello or the Gate on Notting Hill and then, supper with friends at the Groucho and dancing the night away!
