Diner des Grand Chefs London takes place at Old Billinsgate on Monday 22nd April 2013. The previous two years have seen this event held at New York and Versailles, but 2013 sees the third installment take place in London for one extremely special night.

The event will showcase 45 international chefs compete for the Grand Chefs trophy. The chefs involved come from the UK, France, Germany, USA, Italy, Japan, South Africa, Singapore and Taiwan, and they have come together to cook for 500 guests. Among the UK competitors will be Head Chef Martin Burge, Michael Caines, Raymond Blanc, Andrew Fairlie and Gary Jones, so you can expect some seriously stiff competition.

All of the chefs are given a choice of preparing a starter, fish or main course in their own style, and you can expect the event to feature ingredients, such as crab and lobster, halibut and salmon and beef and chicken. Yet the myriad of ways these can be served will be the challenge for these high quality chefs. Those who attend this exquisite dinner can expect to have their food accompanied by Pommery’s finest vintage champagne; truly dining of the highest calibre.

The competition is not only about the success of the winner, or even the great food. The event has a philanthropic intention and the money raised from the tickets sales and auctions will be donation to the Action Against Hunger charity, which is committed to ending child starvation. So why not indulge in the finest cuisine on the planet at this extra special event, and in doing so, help those in need.
