One of the
world’s leading art fairs, the Frieze London Art Fair takes place in the capital's scenic
Regent’s Park this October.
Running from
Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th, it attracts over
150 of the world’s most contemporary art galleries.
Over 60,000
visitors have attended the Frieze Show for the past four years running. These
range from visitors and first time art collectors up to more experienced faces
of the art industry such as curators, gallerists and critics.
Frieze London is
one of a small number of exhibitions that only focus on contemporary art and
living artists.
The contemporary galleries on view are some of the most
exciting at present. An extensive programme of talks, artists’ commissions and
film projects will take place during the show. Many of these are interactive or
performative, encouraging visitors to engage directly with the artists.
The fair is made
both lively and energetic by being housed in a bespoke temporary structure
where a natural light source is used. This helps to dispel the feel of a
traditional exhibition atmosphere. It is
strongly recommended to purchase your tickets in advance to avoid
disappointment.
Call in to The Dorchester on Park Lane afterwards for some refreshments when your legs are weary!
Don't forget to check out some of the other renowned Art Galleries in London during your stay.
