Browns Hotel to Celebrate its 175th Anniversary in Style

Rocco Forte’s Brown’s Hotel is celebrating its 175th Anniversary since December 2012, as London’s very first hotel, with a series of events, promotions and activities for the year ahead. Brown’s Hotel is introducing the “175 years suite package” inviting guests to book a night in one of the luxurious suites at Brown's Hotel and enjoy a secondnight at only £18.37, as 1837 was the year that the hotel first opened.

2013 will be an exciting year at Brown’s Hotel as there will be a series of celebratory events, special menus in HIX Mayfair and anniversary cocktails in The Donovan Bar to mark this milestone in the hotel’s history. Throughout the years,Brown’s has welcomed numerous famous guests and is steeped in fascinating history.  The renowned Alexander Graham Bell made the first UK telephone call from the hotel in 1876, Rudyard Kipling wrote‘The Jungle Book’ whilst staying at Brown’s, Queen Victoria visited the hotel regularly, as did crime writer Agatha Christie, who even based her novel,“At Bertram’s Hotel” on Brown’s Hotel.

Another famous feature at Brown’s Hotel is certainly the magnificent spa and as the winter weather is still upon us in London at Brown’s Hotel they feel that it is very important to look after the skin. The Spa at Rocco Forte’s Brown’s Hotel has introduced a unique NuBo Snow Queen facial to revitalise tired, dull skin.  The facial begins with the application of NuBo’s ‘peel and reveal’ to cleanse and prepare the skin, made with Norwegian seaweed, sea minerals and marine clay, this first mask helps with pore purifying, cellular renewal and has an instant firming, tensor-lifting effect. Hot towels are then applied to the face and neck to remove the Marine mask and heat the skin, before the application of the White Diamond Ice-Glow Mask.  To finish the treatment, eye focus cream, stimulating moisturizer, NuBo voile and a slick of‘Lip perfection’ is applied to ensure that the guest leaves looking radiant.
