The Ansel Adams Exhibition at The National Maritime Museum begins on Friday 9th November 2012 and carries on until Sunday 28th April 2013. There is no doubt you will be blown away by a large number of the famous American photographer’s work, in a collection titled Photography from the Mountains to the Sea.

Showing a prolific reputation as being one of America’s greatest ever photographers, Ansel Adams’ work is as relevant today as it ever was! Exhibiting how his skills have stood the test of time, a large collection of his works are being shown, providing a rare opportunity for fans to see his material on show here in the UK.

During his long career Adams was highly interested in the theme of water, being the reason in which he produced many photographs celebrating water in all its forms. In this exhibition you can see water-themed photos in a rare collection, and also be inspired by Ansel’s visions and forward thinking attitude which is represented in his work.

Ansel Adams, born on the edge of the 20th Century, entered a world which was rapidly changing in many ways. His work reflected this as he was one of the forerunners of the Modernist movement in photography, which saw drastic changes in how photos were composed and produced.
