The Milestone is a boutique family owned hotel in High Street Kensington only minutes away from Notting Hill and Knightsbridge!

Suzie Wotton, the Vice President of Marketing spoke to us about her experience so far and some insider tips on the hotel!

What made you pick a career in hospitality?

I took a gap year after A Levels and worked in a hotel in a ski resort in Austria; I knew from then on that the hospitality industry was about having fun and helping people enjoy life!

What makes The Milestone stand apart?

The Milestone Hotel is a family owned and run hotel with 56 individually decorated rooms and suites, many with views over Kensington Palace and gardens. The Grade Two listed building was formally three private Victorian mansions, converted to hotel use in the 1920's and has been lovingly restored and updated over the past 14 years. With 2 members of staff to every guest, the hotel's ethos is "No request is too large and no detail too small"

How would you describe High Street Kensington?

High street Kensington is both accessible and stylish. With a host of shops, bars and restaurants, High Street Kensington is less crowded than the west end and provides unbeatable access to Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, the Royal Albert Hall, The V&A and Natural History museum as well as the well known shops of neighbouring Knightsbridge, namely Harrods.

What is your favourite cocktail at The Stables Bar?

It would have to be The Dolomite Sunset, however I also enjoy relaxing with a glass of Bouchard Finlayson Hannibal.

Your advice to a first time visitor to The Milestone Hotel would be?

To enjoy Egg's Benedict for breakfast in Cheniston's Restaurant & the award winning champagne afternoon Tea in the park Lounge - a real treat!
