Lord's Cricket Ground named after its founder Thomas Lord established in 1814 is renowned as the home of cricket with a capacity of 28,000 at present. The fabled cricket ground synonymous with English cricket and is situated in St John's Wood, London. It is owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and is the home of Middlesex County Cricket Club, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), the European Cricket Council (ECC). It was also the home of the International Cricket Council (ICC) until 2005.

The famous cricket ground has played host to international cricket matches since its inaugural international test on 21st July 1884 when England took on Australia.
Lords is also home to the oldest sports museum in the world memorabilia include The Ashes and cricket memorabilia from past legends of cricket.
Lords is also set to be a venue for the archery at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
