Kings, Queens, poets, priests, heroes and villains are all part of Westminster Abbey's history. There are many famous peole buried at the Abbey, including Charles Dickens, Geoffrey Chaucer, Dr. Samuel Johnson and Charles Darwin.
Westminster Abbey has been the nation’s Coronation church, since the crowning of William the Conqueror in 1066. The Abbey was also the venue for the wedding of Prince Willian and Kate Middleton in 2011.
The Abbey is open for tours every day apart from Sunday.
