Tate Modern is located in the Bankside area of Central London. The building used be a former Bankside Power Station. The power station closed in 1981. Current building was converted by Herzog & de Meuron in 2000 after which it stood at 99m tall.
The collections in Tate Modern include nearly 70,000 of international and British modern and contemporary artworks dating from 1500 until the present day. The Tate Collections are on display on five levels of the Gallery.
