The Russian Embassy & Russian Consulate in London is the official representation of the Russian Government in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Alexander Vladimirovich Yakovenko arrived in London to assume his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Court of St.James’s on 29th January 2011.

In 1930 a South African businessman Sir Lewis Richardson agreed to hand over 13 Kensington Palace Gardens a private residence to the Crown for the Soviet embassy.
